To have a garden is a blessing. One thousand square meters of cabbage and carrots, parsnip and parsley – vegetables and fruits of all varieties. But what exactly do you make of 10 pounds’ worth of red currants? Can you really live on a diet of cucumber for two weeks? And what if all the tomatoes ripen at once? This is my attempt to put everything my kitchen garden yields into recipes.
But who is cooking here? I’m Birgit and if I’m not in he kitchen I can be found in the garden or in the woods walking with my dog. And if I’m not there either you can probably find me working as a graphic designer.
By the way, my garden grows under the bountiful sun of the Hessian Bergstrasse in Germany. Here everything ripens a little ahead of season so you have enough time to test my recipes.
